Thornton Legal have this week been instructed by 3 different law firms in Lancashire to recruit residential property fee earners.

The firms are spread evenly throughout Lancashire and each offer something slightly different in terms of work and firms size/structure. For example, one is a large conveyancing firm, another is a high street practice.

We have successfully recruited for all three firms of the course of the past 12 months which has placed us in the uniquely advantageous position of knowing a great deal about the roles, the culture of the firms and the type of work that they do.

What is common to all three is that they are looking to grown their residential property teams due to a steady influx of new work and are keen to speak to experienced case handlers, fee earners and Solicitors who are happy to manage their own caseload of property transactions.

If you are a good quality and knowledgeable conveyancer who would like have a confidential discussion about the roles and the firms, Nick Tappin would be happy to oblige. He is a former Solicitor turned recruiter who has a good grasp on the legal recruitment market in Lancashire.

The roles are varied enough to suit somebody looking for either low or high volume conveyancing work, plot sales and new build cases, high net worth conveyancing or leasehold.

Our client is a well-known and reputable law firms in Lancashire within easy reach of Preston, Burley, Blackburn, Bury and Southport. Salaries and benefits differ depending on the firm but start at £28,000 and max out at £32,000.

Key duties and responsibilities will include what you would ordinarily expect from a conveyancer e.g. taking instructions, conducting and reporting on relevant searches including title, drafting and preparing appropriate contracts and statements, exchange and completion.

The successful candidate will be given the support, training and help required to become an important part of the property department.
